Hello, everyone!
Today on STUDIO SIKA I’m thrilled to share my latest Blender project: a two‑storey Japanese confectionery shop (wagashi‑ya) with living quarters built right above and behind the storefront. It’s now available on CGTrader, but first let me walk you through how—and why—I made it.
1. Concept & Reference
I wanted to capture that nostalgic corner‑store vibe you find in older Japanese towns—part kura (storehouse), part machiya (merchant house). The ground floor showcases sliding glass cases where seasonal sweets are displayed, while the upper floor provides a humble living space for the shop owner. The wood sign reads “Momiji‑dō” (“Hall of Autumn Leaves”) to emphasise warmth and tradition.
2. 100 % Procedural Materials
No external textures! All walls, tiles, wood and metal surfaces are driven by Blender nodes so you can resize or tweak them without worrying about pixelation or UV seams.
3. Get the Model
You can grab it now on CGTrader for USD 19.99 →Traditional Japanese Sweets Shop with Residence 3D model | CGTrader
Why I Think You’ll Love It
- Unique theme – Hard to find wagashi‑shop assets, perfect for historical sims, slice‑of‑life anime scenes or VR tours.
- Plug‑and‑play – Origin centred, ground‑level aligned, clean parent collection.
- Customisable – Swap signs, recolour walls, or drop interior props to make it your own.
Feel free to leave feedback or feature requests in the comments section below. Your support helps me keep creating—and sharing—original Japanese‑themed assets here on STUDIO SIKA.
Happy blending and see you in the next post!
